VMWare
The vibes coming out of VMWare at the moment are great. For those of you non-techy, you may want to skip this entry, but before you do, you might want to check out their Browser Appliance which runs in the free VMWare Player. This is just a great way to try out new software safely.
I am seriously going to consider running Ubuntu linux under VMWare Server in order to help me get to grips with it, not to mention some of the applications that are available via the community center and whatever may come out of the VMware Ultimate Virtual Appliance Challenge.
Looking foward to posting more on this. Anyone out there given it a go?

Yes VMware is a fantastic tool and the biggest selling/growing software around at the moment. Even selling more than Microsoft did in its first few years, so some big things comming. ESX 3 and Virtual Center 2 will be avalible later this year and that will bring some big changes to the server market. Its worth noting VMware’s old GSX product now called VMware Server is now a free download.
